When you log into your account, you see several point categories. Yes, the $2/hr or 1.5/hr or whatever is what he means by poker rate. When you say the poker rate, are you referring to the $2 / hour in comps you get from playing?Īlso, when you log into your account the points is what matters for getting a card but the cash reward amount is the amount you can spend on food and such? What is the difference between "points eligible for cash rewards" and the "cash rewards balance." One thing I really dislike about 2/5 is when someone straddles, to be 100% honest I'm not comfortable playing in a 2/5/10 game yet (primarily because if you only have your 500$ starting stack, you go from 100bb's to 50bb's, which is awful), but that's just part of stepping up I guess The average player has more of a "bankroll" and is ready to play for stacks at 2/5, as opposed to at 1/2 where you will see tons of scared money/new players trying it out for their first time The average player will not be short stacking, most people buy in for full or close to it, as opposed to 1/2 where you will find people buying in for 60$, which can make the game flow really weirdģ. There are still plenty of limpers/bad players with tons of leaks and exploitable tendenciesĢ. I have around 1000 hours of Foxwoods 1/2 logged, and just under 10 hours of 2/5, so keep in mind that I have a super-micro sample size, but I recently made the step up to 2/5 and have had nothing but amazing results (up 3 buy ins over 2 sessions, thank you short term variance!) a few things I've noticed are:ġ.
